Auction Sheet Check

Verify your car's auction sheet.

Every car we import from Japan comes with the original auction inspection sheet. Enter the chassis number or the verification code on your copy to see exactly what the auction inspector recorded — grade, mileage and all noted faults.

Hyphens, spaces and letter case are ignored. Nothing you type here is stored.

How to read an auction grade

Japanese auction houses grade every car before it goes under the hammer. The overall grade covers the whole vehicle; the letter grades score the bodywork and the cabin.

S brand new, essentially undriven
6 as new, negligible use
5 excellent, near flawless
4.5 very good, minor blemishes only
4 good, normal wear for age
3.5 fair, visible cosmetic faults
3 poor cosmetics, repairs likely needed
2 heavy wear or corrosion
1 modified, or major mechanical fault
R repaired accident damage
RA light repaired damage
*** not graded by the inspector
